HLC Hangouts 9-12

These community groups, or HLC Hangouts, are facilitated by a child life specialist, grief counselor, or social worker and provide children with an opportunity to meet with peers who share their experiences in an informal, virtual setting. HLC Hangouts are age-appropriate and take place once a month for three age groups: children between 9-12 years-old, teens between ages 13-16 years-old, and ages 17 and up. Our goal is to provide a safe space for children, teens, and young adults affected by ALS to express their feelings and experiences and to facilitate fun and meaningful conversation between peers.
