What do you really know to be true about historic preservation? Tara Cubie, Preservation Director at Preservation Long Island will break down the most common myths about historic preservation such as, "historic designation means you can’t change anything about your house”, or “preserving old buildings lowers property values". Tara will set the record straight using real-life examples from East Hampton and across Long Island.

Wainscott Heritage Project was formed to preserve the history and cultural character of Wainscott by protecting its historic structures and significant viewsheds, and to encourage programs that foster and maintain an appreciation for the hamlet's traditions and sense of community.

Your contributions support our preservation initiatives. Any amount you give helps to fund our mission and will help us reach our goal to raise $10,000 for the Gardiner Foundation RDLGF Challenge Match Grant.
