Join Forest Service staff for an explorative hike through Gibson Prairie to learn more about the Forest's involvement in the Wildfire Crisis Strategy. We will hike through the Gibson Insect and Disease Project Area to discuss some of the current challenges the Forest is facing.

We will meet at the Gibson Prairie Trailhead on Forest Road 1711. The GPS coordinates for the TH are 45.493982, -121.511672. We will hike along the Show Pony Trail for about 3 miles or so. The trail is generally flat and narrow, with some uneven terrain. No fees are required at the Gibson Prairie Trailhead.
