Join Wondery Outdoors' Adventure Maker Ruby Romero for an exciting outdoor adventure at Bear Mountain in Hudson Highlands State Park Preserve! Lace up your hiking boots and prepare for a day of exploration as we embark on the 4.3 mile Bull Hill Short Loop. Discover the beauty of nature, breathe in the fresh air, and enjoy exploring the ruins of an old Cornish state.

But that's not all – get ready for an added element of fun with our interactive scavenger hunt! Challenge your observational skills and teamwork as you search for hidden treasures along the trail.


This event is FREE! Refunds of $15 (not including the $2.85 Eventbrite fees) will be issued to those that attended and checked 48 hours after the event is over. For those that are a no show, you won't be issued a refund, and the amount of your ticket will go towards funding future non-profit events.

No, parking at the Washburn Trail lot is free.

Is there a specific meeting spot within the parking lot that folks will meet at?

We will meet in the grassy area in the parking lot (The parking lot is small, you can see the grassy area from pretty far away.

What should I wear?

Clothes that are comfortable to move around in, shoes that they can comfortably walk uphill/downhill in. Close-toed shoes preferably.

What should I bring?

A water bottle, bug spray, a snack (we'll stop at the summit for a bit to have a snack together, a pen for the scavenger hunt.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, this is a dog friendly hike. Well-behaved dogs are welcome!
