About this event

High Risk: Black Mothers Protecting Themselves and Their Babies

Join us for an empowering Dreamweek event where we come together to learn about and uplift black mothers in their journey of protecting themselves and their precious little ones. This in-person gathering will take place on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 1310 S Brazos St.

As black mothers face unique challenges, we aim to provide a safe space to discuss important topics such as maternal health, self-care, and navigating the healthcare system. In “High Risk,” we explore natural methods and best practices proven to protect Black mothers from prenatal to postpartum care. The ultimate goal of our documentary is to empower Black women through education, making them aware of numerous strategies to use with confidence to advocate for themselves and their babies. Together, we will build a strong support network and foster a sense of community among black mothers.
