WHAT IS A DESIGN WORKSHOP?

A design workshop is an intensive planning session where citizens, designers and others collaborate on a vision for development within their community. It provides a forum for ideas and offers the unique advantage of giving immediate feedback to the designers. Most importantly, the design workshop allows everyone who participates to be a mutual author of the plan!

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?

After a brief introduction of the purpose of the gathering, we will break up into groups including design professionals to tour the neighborhood and record your opinions. Following the tour, you will work with your group to outline your ideas. In the days that follow, we willl begin the process of developing a vision plan which will highlight your ideas!

Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE?

If you live or work in the High Falls area we want to hear from you! All High Falls residents (home owners and renters), landlords, business owners, religious leaders and their members, people who work in High Falls and anyone interested in preserving the quality of life in this area are invited. This includes state, city and county government officials.

Children under 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times to participate.
