Art Salvage

Learn to repair small holes and worn spots in textiles with invisible, or nearly invisible, stitches.

<p>Instructor: Beth LaBar</p><p>In this class we will cover basic mending techniques that you can use to repair a small tear, split seams, holes or wear spots in jeans, hems, buttons, reinforcement of wear areas, elbow patches and other invisible or almost invisible mending solutions. The class will cover basic sewing skills and will incorporate both hand sewing and machine sewing. Please bring your garments in need of mending to class. If you don’t have a garment, no worries, all techniques can be practiced on scrap fabric. No sewing experience is required. Classes will be two hours long with an optional third hour that you many use to work on your mending project. Invisible or almost invisible mending techniques including overview of basic sewing skills.</p>
