This 2-hour training will provide knowledge and skills in best practices for working with children and families in foster care, adoption, and guardianship.

This training is open to child welfare professionals working with families in foster care and adoption. This might include professionals working for the Department of Family and Protective Services, Single Source Continuum Contractors, CASA, post permanency agencies, child placing agencies and those providing mental health services.

Objectives:

  • Develop an understanding of relational health neurobiology.
  • Distinguish between relational wealth and relational poverty and the differential impacts.
  • Apply knowledge of relational health in your work with children and families.
