Hershey Area - All Things Diversity
Event Information
Description
Hershey Area - All Things Diversity is a free series of programs coordinated by Derry Township and The Hershey Story, The Museum on Chocolate Avenue. The September presentation is about empowering women and girls.
Presenter Sharice Johnson is the Senior Division, Student Programs Leader at Milton Hershey School. She created Girls Grace, an annual event which helps female students build character and confidence through keynote speakers and activities that inspire students to pursue their dreams.
Sharice believes “Girls Grace is an investment in [our female students’] development toward becoming strong, successful young women. By attending the event, they discover more about themselves, learn how to empower and support their peers and find time for self-reflection, and have some girl fun.”
Sharice also created and leads the Young Women’s Alliance Club that meets with 9 senior high girls weekly.
