Join us as we explore this Williamson County Park for amphibians and reptiles after sunset!
We will be meeting up at Lake Creek Park Trailhead at 8:00 PM.
This is a VERY accessible, paved main trail with paths into the hackberry woodlands on one side and the creek on the other.
What to bring:
· Old sneakers, water shoes, boots, etc.
· Flashlights or headlamps
· Bug spray (but not on your hands if you are handling amphibians!)
· Drinking water
· Buckets or small mesh nets for observation purposes.
Our Guides will be:
Ruthann Panipinto (BCTMN chapter member) and Thom Marshall a Graduate Research Assistant at UT. Some of Thom's research has been to better understand the relationship between rat snakes and corn snakes and their geographic distribution.
