Heroes Helping Heroes 5K, Remembrance Walk, and Poker-Run
The 5K will begin at 10am with registration/check-in from 9-9:45am.
The Remembrance Walk will begin just after the 5K starts.
The Poker Run will be from 1-5pm with registration/check-in from 11am-1pm.
Heroes Helping Heroes is a non-profit that focuses on our local Heroes. The 5K and Remembrance Walk will recognize the strength, perseverance, and courage if Police Officers, Firefighters, EMTs, Military Veterans and their families in our local area. First Responders put their lives on the line for us every day as they face hardships that most of us will never know. The repetitive negative experience of stressful and potentially traumatic events that First Responders face on a daily basis leaves them particularly vulnerable to Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Not only will this event raise awareness of the hardships First Responders face, we hope that it will build Heroes Helping Heroes so that we can provide the support, awareness, assets, and services to First Responders and Military Veterans seeking assistance.
We highly encourage all First Responders and Veterans to join us in either the 5K or Remembrance walk in their turnout gear. We would also encourage members of the community to don some gear for their run/walk.
Pre-Registration will run through September 1, 2019. Pre-registering will guarantee your shirt size.
Children under 13 can participate with an adult for free but they must be registered separately. Their registration does not include a shirt.
Poker Run registration does not include a shirt.
