About this event

  • 2 hours

Henna is a reddish dye prepared from the dried and powdered leaves of the henna tree. The art of Henna—called mehndi in Hindi and Urdu—has been practiced in Pakistan, India, Africa, and the Middle East for over 5000 years. It was originally used for its natural cooling properties for people living in hot desert climates.

Henna has been used both decoratively and therapeutically for thousands of years. Today, Henna is mainly used to celebrate special occasions such as weddings and birthdays or any other joyous gatherings of people. Henna symbolizes good health, prosperity, joy, kindness, wealth, and peace.

Join us for a night of gorgeous henna applications. Feel free to apply it to your entire hand and arm or go for a more discreet location. We'll have several templates to get you started and get the flow of the concentric designs.

Vigor Studio is an Austin-based mobile art studio that inspires all to make art. Casey is an artist with an interior design background and a passion for traveling the world. She's received many gorgeous henna tattoos in her travels and wants to share the art with you.

Bring your friends - it's the most fun, creative way to spend a few hours while enjoying local beverages & snacks with your peeps.
