Many workforce organizations are not aware of or able to support LGBTQ+ youth with the unique challenges they face when entering the workforce, from pronouns to identification to navigating homophobia and transphobia. This workshop will provide participants with concrete information and ways to help navigate these waters, drawn directly from questions and needs articulated by LGBTQ+ youth. Participants will learn how to help LGBTQ+ youth navigate the workforce world.


Speaker Bio:

Elise Schuster has spent their career creating and helping others create safe spaces for marginalized populations. Elise has worked in direct youth development, sexuality education, and curriculum development. Elise is currently the co-founder of OkaySo, a national nonprofit that provides training and professional development to organizations working with young people and provides direct support to young people through a free mobile app.
