My 7-year-old nephew Kenny Zaleski, recently went into sudden heart failure due to an infection that attacked his heart. After weeks of fighting to save Kenny and his heart it has been determined that Kenny needs a heart transplant to survive. Kenny is currently on a Berlin Heart and has already endured many surgeries, he is also on a feeding tube and learning to walk again after being bed ridden for many weeks. His tiny body has been put through so much already and all he wants to do is to be able to run and play with his little brother and sister again. Kenny is currently at Columbia Hospital in Manhattan where he will stay for months and possibly years while he waits for a new heart.
As you can imagine this has caused a severe financial burden on my brother Kenny, little Kenny’s father. In an effort to help relieve some of that pressure and also help support little Kenny in his fight, I have set up a go fund me and I am also hosting a fundraiser on June 30th, 1-5pm at James Joyce Pub, in Patchogue. 49 South Ocean Ave, Patchogue NY, 11772.
