Help build a new playspace at Little People's Park

Project Information

Who: A total of approximately 175 volunteers from the City of Anaheim, the CarMax Foundation, the Anaheim Family YMCA, and KABOOM!. Volunteers will be supervised by professional playground installers. Work is available for volunteers of all levels of skill and ability.

**Please note - All youth under the legal working age for this state will not be able to participate.**

When: Tuesday May14th, 9 :00AM-4:00PM; Thursday May 16th, 8:00AM-3:00PM

Where: 220 W Elm St, Anaheim, CA 92805

Parking: Volunteers will be shuttle from parking lots to Little People's Park for the build

May 14th: Boniface Catholic Church; 120 N Janss St, Anaheim, CA 92805

May 14-15th: Anahiem First Presbyterian Church; 310 W Broadway, Anaheim, CA 92805

What's Provided: Breakfast, Lunch, snacks, and bottled water will be provided. Gloves and other safety materials will be provided for the projects that require them.

What to Wear: The project will happen rain or shine. Please come dressed for the weather. Closed-toe shoes are required; sneakers or work boots that you don't mind getting dirty are advisable. Please leave valuables at home as secure storage is not available on site.

Sign In: Please make sure that you check in at the registration table before entering the build site.

Build Week Schedule

Build Week will run for 3 days from May 14th to May16th. Each day will run on the following schedule:

Tuesday May 14th- Wednesday May 15th

• 9:00 AM - Volunteers arrive and register

• 4:00 PM - Volunteer shift completed

Thursday May 16th

• 6:30 AM - Team Leaders arrive

• 8:00 AM - Volunteers arrive and register

• 8:30 AM - Kick-Off Ceremony

• 2:30 PM - Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

• 3:00 PM - Volunteers leave

Build Site Rules:

All participants must comply with the following practices. These rules have been established and agreed upon to ensure the safety, comfort and respect for all involved. Failure to comply will result in immediate dismissal from the project.

• Work together, treat everyone with respect and use family-friendly, inclusive language

• Report any unsafe or inappropriate behavior to on-site staff

• Please comply with all requests from on-site staff

• Follow all safety guidelines

• Only pre-approved power tools are permitted

• Closed-toe shoes are required

• Youth may not participate in areas of active construction

• No smoking, alcohol or drugs

• The use or carry of firearms is prohibited

Información acerca del proyecto

Reglas del sitio de construcción:
