Heirloom Corn Experience

An Evening of Flavor, Craft, and Storytelling

Join El Presidente and the DC Food and Beverage Collective (DCFBC) for a unique culinary experience celebrating tradition, technique, and taste. Enjoy delicious food, the Mexico City-inspired restaurant in Union Market, including signature items from the unique technique used in the restaurant, nixtamalization. Executive Chef Dave LaForce will guide guests through an engaging discussion on El Presidente’s heirloom corn program and the art of making masa, which is used to make the restaurant’s house-made tortillas. DCFBC, a non-profit organization, will donate profits from the night to Martha’s Table to assist with food scarcity in the DMV.
