About this event

Heart to Heart with Horses

Equine Connection

Join us for a unique and transformative experiential series that combines the healing power of equine energy and our own heart's electromagnetic energy field. Equines can sense your heartbeat, your intention, and your inner story through the vibrational energy field. They are the listeners and the tellers of self and mirror our hearts, the window to our emotions.

In the inspiring setting of Forget Me Not Farm, you’ll be introduced to the intuitive wisdom of equines and their ability to mirror our emotions and intentions. Through guided hands-on equine-assisted activities with Equine Facilitated Coach Kim Seng, you’ll explore opening up channels of energy, allowing for a deeper connection with the inner self while you work within the equine's Meridian Flow of Energy. This one-of-a-kind experience is designed to guide you on a journey of self-discovery, reflection, and deep connection with gentle-hearted equine partners.

Complementing these powerful experiences, the art of journaling will provide a safe and expressive outlet for your thoughts, feelings, and insights. Capture your experiences, emotions, and newfound revelations, fostering a deeper connection with self while honoring your power.

Each session you will experience "Touch Techniques" with equines:

  • Embodying your surroundings and the physical senses to be fully present in the moment with equines, first session primary focus.
  • Engaging your energy flow and release blocked pathways through touch techniques, second session primary focus.
  • Learning the art of non-verbal communication and the subtle language and messages between equines and humans, third session primary focus.
  • Discovering and expressing your inner story of self with our non-judgemental equines, forth session primary focus.
  • Practicing being rather than doing, deepening your creative creator of self-compassion and appreciation through a visual expression, fifth session primary focus.

All sessions are intertwined presenting the opportunity to engage in the intuitive wisdom that equines reveal.

From your own inner creativity you will learn and unlearn, while discovering or refining your life’s expression with purpose. You will take away the insights and messages you received from the scared energy field of equines. HeartMath Institute tell us that our hearts have a 5,000 times greater energy field than our brains, that the electromagnetic field of the heart can expand up to 10 feet around us. Horses have a five times larger energy sphere that completely surrounds you and connects to your energy field.

Meet your host and facilitator, Kim Seng

I am the Founder of Standing Horse, LLC, and Equine Assisted Learning and Mentoring Service, and Standing Strong with Horses, a program for teens and young adults. I hold a Professional Practitionors Certifications in Equine Facilitated Coaching, Equine Assisted Learning and Therapy, Therapeutic Riding Instructor, Center Riding Instructor, Professional Equine Trainer and Communicator as well as a Lifelong Horse Women.

My work with horses has been a lifelong journey and passion, which started some 45 years ago at an equine rescue center. The nurturing and rehabilitating of these majestic animals jump-started my understanding of how they are so often mistreated and misunderstood. Their hearts are forgiving and willing to shift to move past the emotional traumas. This was an eye-opening observation to the lessons I learned with these horses.

I continue to work with horses and their owners in relationship building and understanding the horse's true nature whil helping the human to develop an understanding from the horse's world. While working in the horse and human relationship field I started looking at other areas where horses were making an impact on personal growth and health, and moved into the area of working with youth and adults on physical, mental and emotional levels.

Over the last 20 years, I have worked in the method of Equine Assisted Learning and Therapy with organizations and therapists. This work has allowed me to hone my skills and knowledge to develop programs, to train staff and to lead facilitation teams.

I am living my dream and mission by contributing to the emotional and social growth of individuals who are engaging in equine activities with real-life content and impact their lives.

Standing Strong with Horses is a teen and young adult empowerment program that truly works. Lead by Kim Seng, Standing Strong with Horses implements her unique approach to the Equine Assisted Learning and Activities Method. This teaching method is based on 20 years of experiential hands on learning with horses and teens. Equine Assisted Learning and Activities Method, engages students in multiple learning modalities: self-discovery, experiential and mindful-reflection trial and error, problem solving. All of these modes are paramount for the students to acquire and apply knowledge, skills and feelings in relevant setting for daily life.

Equine Assisted Learning and Activities Method, (EALAM), is designed to empower teens to develop life skills to bring about positive change. The work with horses offers a safe and an accepting space where no one is judged with opportunity to create new narratives for one’s self. The activities are designed to empower the students to learn and develop skills to create healthy emotional and social young adults. The activities are carefully designed for individual and group exercises with horses to target issues teens may be facing in everyday life.
