Pharmacy students from UCSD's School of Pharmacy are observing Stroke Awareness Month by offering free blood pressure screenings, cholesterol screenings, and stroke education to the community.

All are welcome, and no reservation is required. Come by on Saturday, May 10th, from 1:30 to 3:30 pm to get a screening, ask questions, and learn more about your heart health.

Where will you be located?

You can find us near the pharmacy, toward the back left side of the store! We will be at the Ralph's in La Jolla

Do I need to make an appointment or reservation?

Nope! Feel free to come by during our time slot to check out our station, all are welcome!

I have some concerns that I am worried the students may not be able to answer, what happens then?

Though our students are very knowledgeable, two licensed Pharmacists and one Medical Doctor will also be overseeing the event to support our students. So rest assured, we have highly capable medical professionals to answer all questions!

Are kids able to get screened as well?

Of course, people of all ages are welcome to attend our event! For those under the age of 18, a parent or guardian will be needed to sign off for them.
