On world refugee day, we invite you to Hear, Here! The festival to meet eachother through music, stories and conversations

Hear, Here is an evening at the Melkweg where you don’t just come to watch, you come to take part. Organised by undocumented people, we welcome people from all kind (especially undocumented and refugee people) to join us on this special night. One moment you’re on the dance floor, the next you’re listening to a powerful story. First you learn some dabke moves together, then you hear someone share what it’s like to live on the run or to live without papers. The night moves back and forth between energy, music, and moments that make you pause and listen. The choice is yours.

Throughout the evening you’ll meet new people, have fun, and discover stories you may not have heard before. Music, dance, and different cultures come together in one space. Between the beats and the movement, you’ll hear the experiences of people who had to leave their home countries or who are living here without official status. You get to know each other not only by listening, but also by dancing, laughing, and sharing something together.

Hear, Here is for anyone curious about other people and their stories. Come for the vibe, stay for the encounters. You might go home with a new song in your playlist, a new dance move, or simply a story that stays with you.
