The Valley Hospital, Nurses and The Center for Advancement of Integrative Healing invite participants to join us as we:

• Discover ways to increase our compassion and self-awareness

• Identify ways in which integrative practices and mindful eating can affect one’s health and well-being

• Recognize how healing takes place through expanding self-awareness

• Begin to experience practices that attend to body/mind/spirit 

Guest Speakers:

Billy Rosa, MS, RN, LMT, AHN-BC, AGPCNP-BC, CCRN-CMC  Robert Wood Johnson Future of Nursing Scholar in University of Pennsylvania’s School of Nursing PhD program, Philadelphia, PA.  He is a graduate of of Sloan Kettering Cancer Center Palliative Care Fellowship (2016-2017).  His specialties include holistic nursing , critical care, palliative care, and global health. Billy has authored more that 150 book chapters and articles. Billy has been named one of Modern Healthcare’s 2017 Rising Stars in Nursing . He serves on the US Advisory Board for the Nightingale Initiative for Global Health, and National Nominating Committee for the American Holistic Nurses Association.

Dr. Rajinder P. Gandhi,  MD, FACS, FAAP – Attending Pediatric Surgeon at the Valley Hospital for over 30 years. Retired Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and Chief of Pediatric Surgery at The Harlem Hospital. He completed teacher’s training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction at UMASS and is Certified from Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute in CA. He has been listed as one of the best Pediatric Surgeons in NY and NJ by New York Magazine for the last 15 years.  He is a member of Ridgewood Rotary Club and received the Paul Harris and Walterhead Awards.
