5.17.25 - Join us for our second H.E.A.D. talks Saturday May 17th, 2025. 6pm-8:30pm. Join Local trans artist/organizer SunnyCharmWitch in an empowering workshop where they’ll be discussing how to create a unique defcon style system for your personal safety, sharing information about steps you can take right now and connecting you with other people in your community! Carpool + early arrival suggested as parking can be difficult and seating is first come first serve.
What is H.E.A.D.? Helping empower (through) active discussion. The goal is as simple as it is broad - to open up our space to share important information on a variety of topics from social justice, LGBTQIA+ rights, climate crisis, local organizing, native land and more through community. These events will always remain free with an option to donate to keep the series going - donations will go to supplies needed for small costs (print outs, take away materials, etc.) with any remaining funds going to an organization of the speakers choice.
In addition each discussion will allow folks to walk away with some or all of the following - documents/ literature to keep and or access digitally; tangible actions to take regarding the specific topic; additional recourses to support organizations that align with the subject being discussed. Our goal is to meet on a monthly/ bi-monthly basis depending on guest speaker interest and continue to gather, empower, educate and take action!
If you or anyone you know is interested in guest speaking - please fill out the form at the link in our bio to inquire!
