Establishing Priorities and Action Plans Across All Intercepts

Based on your specific expertise and perspective, we are excited you are joining us for this interactive workshop developing a map of Hays County's justice process and its intersections with behavioral health services. We will identify gaps in services and opportunities for collaboration, set community priorities, and outline a local action plan.

People with behavioral health issues collide with the criminal justice system at alarming rates, creating significant barriers to treatment and support services. Sequential Intercept Model mapping helps communities develop and implement plans for community change through cross-system collaboration, utilizing innovative and dynamic tools to map systems, identify gaps in service, and clarify community resources and opportunities.

The goals of the workshop are:

• Facilitate mutual understanding, collaboration and relationship building between a diverse array of stakeholders, all of whom are dedicated to system transformation and committed to remain connected and committed to achieving common goals.
• Identify best practices, resources, gaps in services, and opportunities for improvement and innovation across all SIM intercepts.
• Prioritize key steps toward system transformation and improved service delivery.
• Create a longer term strategic action plan, optimizing use of and increasing the availability of local resources in Hays County and furthering the delivery of appropriate services.

This intensive, interactive workshop will result in a Sequential Intercept Map of Hays County and action plans that will inform community priorities and direct local action.

Our process includes two meetings. You are encouraged to register for both.

• Virtual session: Friday, October 2, 2026, 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, via Zoom. Register for the virtual session here.
• In person session: Wednesday, October 28, 2026, 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Emergency Operations Center (EOC) at the Public Safety Building, 810 S. Stagecoach Trail, San Marcos. This Eventbrite page is your registration for the in person session.

Please help us reach the right people. This invitation is intended to catch most of the game changers in behavioral health in the Hays County community. If you have others in your agency, please have them register. If you know of others outside your agency who should be invited, please forward this invitation or send along their contact information. We would love to have someone from your particular agency, or with your particular background, join us, so feel free to send a designee if you are unavailable and there are others with the requisite experience and expertise.
