About this event

Help your child with learning differences have a positive school and life experience. This virtual parent support group is for families living in Hawaii. The 4-week series will take place on Wednesdays, 10am - 11am, January 20, 27, February 3 and 10.

Connect with other parents, helpful professionals, and community resources. Learn about learning differences, emotional regulation, and how to help your child.

Facilitated by Dr. Cathy Bell, child psychiatrist and pediatrician who specializes in learning differences and Tisha Lang, parent of three children with learning differences and educator.

Participant Guidelines

  • Sessions will be held via Zoom video conference. Please make sure you have access to Zoom on your device prior to the first session. The zoom access code will be emailed prior to the first session. The link is meant only for the participants in our group and to be kept private. 
  • Enable your video and mute your microphone upon entry to the meeting. It’s helpful to see one another as we build connections.  
  • We want to create a safe space for everyone to share openly.  Please be respectful, allow everyone to share and listen attentively to others. 
  • Each participant is encouraged to participate to whatever extent is comfortable. What each person shares is appreciated and sufficient. 
  • Respect everyone’s privacy. Refrain from sharing specific details about other participants’ situations with others outside the group.
