Thin time isn't only in autumn, it happens in the spring as well. That's when the spirit world moves closer to the mortal world...
Join storyteller and historian Rissa Miller to explore the mysterious side of York's past and present. The tour will be offered six times in spring. Guests will travel by foot from the White Rose to allegedly haunted locations around downtown. New stories have been researched and added since last fall!
Stories span from Native origins into more modern times, including ghosts, poltergeists, fortune tellers, witches, and cryptids. There are about 12 stops on the tour, and two allow for seating to rest. Guests will hear about 20 stories and legends.
- Tours begin and end at White Rose Bar & Grill, 48 N Beaver St, York, PA 17401.
- There are NO jump scares and nothing in the program is designed to be frightening.
- This is not a ghost investigation and no equipment will be used; this is a haunted history storytelling experience. Supernatural/paranormal experiences are not guranteed.
- Guests ages 12 and up are welcome. You know your child best.
- Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome. If you bring your dog companion, you are fully responsbile for them and their actions.
- All guests are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and attire for the walk. Please dress for the weather.
- Price: Ghost tours are $25 per ticket and there are no discounts at this time.
- The tour takes 90-120 minutes, with variation for stoplights, group travel pace, and answering questions. There is seating available at two stops.
- There are NO public restrooms on the tour path. Please use restrooms at the White Rose.
- Parking is available on-street, White Rose has a lot, and there are two public parking decks within a block of White Rose Bar & Grill. One is at the corner of Beaver and Philadelphia Streets, the other is at 25 W Philadelphia St. Please give yourself ample time to park .
- We encourage you to make an evening of it and enjoy dinner, drinks, or coffee and dessert at the White Rose before or after the event!
- The tour route is designed to be accessible for all guests and every corner we use has ramps, however - not all sidewalks are in peak condition. If you have concerns, please reach out and your questions will be answered honestly. One ASL tour will be offered in the fall.
- Weather policy: Weather would only shut tours down if York City shuts down due to weather emergency or there is lightning/hail/flooding/high winds type of storms.We will go on in RAIN or FOG. Only in the event of lightning/thunderstorms, hail, very high winds, or flooding in York City, will we cancel the walks. There is no refund for RAIN. If there is lightning/thunderstorms, hail, very high winds, or flooding forecast in York City, the walks will be cancelled and your ticket will be refunded or you can come another scheduled night; please check your email associated with Eventbrite by noon the day of your tour. If it rains, please grab your raincoat and come on out for some spooky fun; ghosts don't mind the rain. Thank you for your attention to this!
- Refund policy: Refunds for advance tickets will only be available until 72 hours (3 days) before the event. If you find you cannot make it and it's past the 72-hour deadline, please give your ticket to a friend.
