About this event

Do you feel that you're bad at drawing? Have you ever felt frustrated that your art doesn't look as "good" as that of others? None of that matters at all at Bad Drawing Club, where we will explore the joy of making easy drawings that are relaxing, freeform, and empoweringly imperfect. Hatch Makerspace volunteer Caroline will lead the club in making easy drawings so uniformly bad that you might just start to rethink how good your bad drawings can be.

This month's theme is Geometric Drawings. Join us in making simple, straight-line drawings that look far more complex than they actually are! With our easy-to-follow instructions, you'll be able to draw cool, "high tech" curves and spiraling shapes inspired by geometry and mathematics (no equations needed). Incorporate color to make funky gradients, or keep it monochrome and color it afterwards if desired!

No experience needed, no skill needed, you don't even need to be able to draw a straight line!

All materials are provided.

Participants must be age 12+. Youth ages 12-17 must have a parent or legal guardian sign their waiver form in-person.

Registration is required.

This workshop starts on time. If you arrive late, your spot may be given to someone on the waitlist.
