Harry Tuft<a href="https://harrymtuft.com/index.htm" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Website</a> Harry grew up singing and playing a series of instruments – from the piano to the clarinet, ukulele, baritone uke, and, in college, a six-string guitar.Philadelphia's lively folk scene provided the setting for Harry's first ventures into public singing. From there, friendships with Dick Weissman and Roger Abrahams fostered a growing interest in Anglo-American folk music.In 1960, needing a break from his studies (preparing for an architectural career), Harry traveled out to the Rocky Mountains for some skiing. He found a job at "The Holy Cat" in Georgetown, as a dishwasher, busboy, waiter, bartender, janitor, and – if there was a lull in the work at night – he could sing in the bar.There he met Hal Neustaedter – owner of "The Exodus," a folk club in Denver – who suggested that he look into starting a folklore center in Denver. With further encouragement from Izzy Young, owner of the first and (then) only Folklore Center, in New York's Greenwich Village, Harry opened the Denver Folklore Center in March 1962.Putting his energies into the store over the years, Harry has found time for teaching and occasional singing, as time allows. In his first album, "Across the Blue Mountains," Harry was ably joined by old friends Dick Weissman, Jay Ungar, Ed Trickett, Artie Traum and Laraine Grady Traum. His 2011 album, "Harry Tuft &amp; Friends: Treasures Untold," is now available.In 1972, Harry and friends Steve Abbott and Jack Stanesco formed Grubstake – originally named "This Band Is Starving." Their five albums include "What You Do With What You Got" and "Warts and All."

Music starts at 6:30.<ul><li>How can I buy tickets?</li></ul>We recommend buying your tickets in advance, online at <a href="https://swallowhillmusic.eventbrite.com" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://swallowhillmusic.eventbrite.com</a>. We may have walk-up tickets available at the door.<ul><li>Are there tickets available to members?</li></ul>Yes. There is a $5 discount to members of both Swallow Hill Music and Four Mile Historic Park. When purchasing tickets, please enter your promo code to unlock these discounted tickets.<ul><li>Are the concerts outside?</li></ul>Yes. Four Mile Historic Park’s Shady Grove is a General Admission lawn, with plenty of room to spread your picnic blanket!<ul><li>What if it rains?</li></ul>It is a rain or shine venue, and the show will go on unless there is a threat to anyone’s safety. Feel free to bring an umbrella just in case!<ul><li>Can I bring my own food?</li></ul>Yes!<ul><li>Can I bring my own alcohol?</li></ul>Yes! As long as it is in an aluminum or plastic container--glass containers are not permitted in the park. Non-alcoholic drinks, including water, are for sale in the Gift Shop!<ul><li>Can I bring my dog?</li></ul>Only ADA-defined service dogs are permitted at Four Mile Historic Park. All other pets and animals are prohibited in order to preserve and protect the ecosystem and resident animals of the Park.<ul><li>Can I bring a chair?</li></ul>Yes. Bring a chair or blanket!<ul><li>Is Four Mile Historic Park ADA accessible?</li></ul>Yes, though the terrain of the Park is rugged and may require heavy-duty wheelchairs or strollers for easier mobility. Please call us in advance at 303-777-1003 so we can accommodate your needs to the best of our abilities. All of these locations are wheelchair accessible.
