French harpsichordist Pierre Hantaï, one of today's most acclaimed and lauded harpsichordists, plays some of his favorite works by J.S. Bach. This is a rare, not-to-be-missed opportunity to hear this exceptional artist live in concert in Washington D.C. Pierre Hantai's unparalled technical agility and fluid virtuosity are matched by his deep understanding and thoughtful interpretations of Bach's keyboard works. Will the concert be performed on a real harpsichord?

An excellent harpsichord will be used for the performance. It has been built very largely as a copy of an original German harpsichord now held in a museum. The instrument has to keyboards (manuals) typical of 17th century harpsichords.

Is the venue accessible by metro

Yes. Exit the Metro Center Station exit on 11th St. and G St. and it's a 1 minute walk to Live! at 10th and G (First Congregational UCC)

Is parking available at the venue?

Parking is available under the venue for a flat rate $10 with entry after 5:00 pm and exit before 11:00 pm. Entrance to the garage is at 980 G Place (an alley running alongside the venue). Use any unreserved parking space in the garage and take the Church elevator up to the Sanctuary Level.

What is the timing for the concert?

Doors to the concert hall will open at 7:30 pm for an 8:00 pm concert start time. The concert will end around 9:20 pm
