You can <strong>stay for the full three-hour session to hear what advice Hannes gives other producers</strong> and learn from his tips. If you can’t make the whole session that’s fine - please just email us when you will be there and we will schedule you (email us at hello@343labs.com).</p><p></p><p></p><h1>May 5: Art of Mixing - Masterclass with Hannes Bieger</h1><p><strong>Time: </strong>10am-6pm EST</p><p></p><p><strong>Description</strong></p><p>In this in-depth masterclass, you&#x27;ll spend the day with <strong>Hannes as he breaks down the techniques he uses to mix some of the world&#x27;s biggest club records</strong>. Expect lots of detailed knowledge, both technical and philosophical. </p><p><strong>There are a lot of myths about dynamic processing</strong>, and most tutorials cover this topic based on more conventional musical genres such as rock or pop. In this masterclass Hannes Bieger will be setting a spotlight on all things dynamics within the context of electronic music: Explaining recording history, strategies, concepts and specific use cases around keywords and topics like gain staging, sidechaining, transients, parallel compression and limiting. He will show examples of his current productions, showcasing how to reach sonic goals both with vintage compressor legends (or their plug-in counterparts) and the most modern of dynamic processors. The masterclass will also focus on various related techniques such as channel automation, dynamic EQ or saturation, and how they can complement or even replace compressors and limiters in contemporary electronic music.</p><p></p><p><strong>List of topics covered:</strong></p><ul><li>Legendary vintage compressors, their specific attributes, and how they can be used in a modern context</li><li>Use cases for compression in electronic music from individual channels to sub groups to the master</li><li>Specific techniques like sidechaining and parallel compression and their place in electronic music</li><li>Complementing or replacing compression with automation, saturation and dynamic EQ</li><li>Multiband compressors</li><li>Gain staging</li><li>General strategies and techniques: mixing vs. mastering</li></ul><p></p>

<p><strong>R﻿EFUND POLICY</strong></p><p>If you change your mind about attending either event, you can get a full refund, minus a $50 admin fee, up to 30 days before the start of the event, and up to 24 hours after making payment. Requests made anytime up to 14 days before the start of the event will receive a 75% refund of the total cost of the course or program. Requests made within 7 days before the start of the event will receive a 50% refund of the total cost of the course or program. Any refund requests made on the day of the event or later are non-refundable. All refund requests must be made via email to hello@343labs.com, and are subject to the $50 admin fee, and can take up to 30 days to process.</p>
