Learn to make perfect French macarons in this hands-on class! We'll cover the entire process, from batter to baking, plus troubleshooting and storage tips. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned baker, you'll leave with the skills and recipes to create beautiful and delicious macarons. We will taste and discuss the perfect macaron, try a hand at piping the batter and filling these classic French cookies with fall flavors; pumpkin caramel and cinnamon roll. The best part will be taking them home! Instructor: Pastry chef Catrine Roen About the chef: Originally from Stockholm, Sweden, Catrine Roen is an award-winning pastry chef. After nearly twenty years in New York City restaurants, with accolades ranging from New York Times reviews to Best Dessert Revival for her rhubarb creations, Catrine is leveraging her background as a Pastry Arts instructor at French Culinary Institute in Soho, NYC and a love for baking to the benefit of her Milwaukee-based baking courses. Whether your goal is to bake gluten-free, or classic French, Catrine is proud to offer fun, easy-to-learn classes for the home chef who wants to bake well, share with family, and accommodate everyone’s desire for healthy home baking. Catrine Roen (née Oscarson) has mastered the science of baking but also fully embraces its creative potential. She is recognized for her dedication to farm-to-table menus and a strong commitment to sharing her knowledge and skills with aspiring chefs, and her love for all things Wisconsin and all things Swedish!
