Join Dragados-Flatiron Joint Venture, CSU Fresno, and the City of Fresno on Thursday, November 9th, 2017 for a comprehensive DBE certification workshop! Come with all documentation, and leave with your certification application submitted to the City of Fresno, a Caltrans CUCP agency.
A notary will be on hand to notarize your application, while our knowledgeable staff manage all of your questions as you fill out your application. Once you submit your application, it will only be a matter of months before your application is approved and your company is certified. Don't deal with the maze of DBE certifcation on your own, let us get your application in the best state for certification! 
Lunch will be provided. Notary will be on-site. Spots are limited.

Why should I apply for a small business certification?
Federal and State small business certifications assist small business with securing work on state and federally funded projects. These projects have certification measures, which obligates contractors to work towards meeting small business goals! Certifications help agencies ensure dollars return to the communities and build your business while you build our projects. They are an effective way to grow your company by providing additional opportunities for prime contractors and public agencies to hire you, and make your company more searchable on state and federal databases. 
My company is not a general contractor, am I eligible for certification? 
Yes! Public Agencies utilize a variety of non-construction focused certified companies, from office suppliers and photographers, to professional services such as mediators, event planners, marketing and printing companies. Please contact us for a list of certification NAICS codes to see if your company qualifies for certification. 
Will I be certified when I leave the event? 
If you bring all the required paperwork, you will be able to SUBMIT your application on-site. Once you submit the paperwork, it may take up to three months for your application to be processed. Once your application is approved, you will be a certified company! If you do not bring the appropriate documents to the event, we will get you as far along in the application process as possible, and you will need to complete and submit your application at a later date on your own. Once you register, we will provide you with a certification checklist that includes the requried paperwork. 
I am interested in another certifcation, can you help me at this event?
While many of the staff on-hand can answer questions about SBE, DVBE, and other certifications, this event is for those seeking DBE certification. 
What do I have to bring into the event?
You must bring all paperwork required for certification. Once you register for the event we will send you a checklist of the items you will need to bring with you. If you are not able to bring all the information, you will need to submit your application after the event. A Notary will be at the event to complete your application.
