Film &amp; TV Productions are coming to town, are you ready? In this 3-day immersive workshop you will: <ul><li>Work alongside working professional filmmakers</li><li>Gain practical on-set experience</li><li>Learn how to assist Grip &amp; Electric, Sound, Camera, and Art departments</li><li>Learn how to be an on-set PA</li><li>Be eligible for paid internships for incoming productions this summer</li><li>Make a short film!</li></ul>DAY ONE - PRE PRODUCTION: “Plan your work, work your plan.” From the concept of our project all the way through our plan of execution, you’ll meet the instructors and learn on-set protocols for each department so that everyone is prepped and ready to make our film.DAY TWO - ON SET - INTERIOR, STUDIO SHOOT - “There’s nothing like a good ol’ film light in a fogged-up studio.” Filming in the controlled environment of the studio, all participants will be hands-on under the guidance of each department lead, switching between departments throughout the day, making it happen. Day Two will take place at Lost Forty Studios in Chisholm.DAY THREE: EXTERIOR, PICK UPS &amp; POST“Sometimes you remember more about the location where you shot the film than the film itself.” For this reason, we may spend part of the day grabbing establishing exterior shots of the location, or stay inside the studio for any remaining shots we may have missed, known as “pick up shots.” The rest of the day will be spent reviewing footage and getting an overview of the Post Production process and what it takes to complete a film. Day three location will vary.Post-Production . “That’s a wrap!” Students will be sent a link to the final product to reference!Instructors: This workshop will be led by Lost Forty Studios and the following team of filmmakers: Jay Ness (Director), Lily Rains (Producer), Jason Schumacher (Producer)Cost $50 - for scholarships, please email exec@uppermidwestfilmtv.org for the code.CALL TIMES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGECLASS SIZE IS LIMITED IN ORDER TO KEEP EVERYONE SAFE, PROOF OF VACCINATION &amp; BOOSTER ARE REQUIRED.
