About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

Microgreens are quick and easy to grow. With a sunny window or simple light you can grow your own in just a week or two. Join Kate Solko owner-operator of Root to Rise Farm for a hands-on class, where you will learn about selecting micro seeds, suitable repurposed containers, microgreen seeding and watering, and finding the perfect spot in your kitchen. Attendees will start their own broccoli microgreens and pea shoots to take home, and receive recipes for creative ways to use their homegrown micros.

Meet the Instructor!

Root to Rise Farm is a modern family farm, woman-owned and operated, using bio-intensive and regenerative practices to craft sustainable systems on the farm. Kate Solko and her family work hard to grow beautiful Certified Organic vegetables and culinary herbs for their community here in Ames.
