Where is Clay & Market Studio located?

Clay & Market Studio is not a permanent brick & mortar. We rent spaces and work with businesses all over the Bay Area to plan events and workshops. All of our art workshops are currently hosted inside of The SmArt Collective boxcar art gallery on the ground floor of One Market Plaza in SF!

How do I find The SmArt Collective boxcar gallery?

Accepted Answer

Enter the ground floor of One Market Plaza and ask concierge to lead you to boxcar one. You can also just walk into the Spear Street entrance and locate The SmArt Collective boxcar which is located across The Steuart Tower. Check out our IG @claymarketstudio for more details and pictures.

What if I’m running late from traffic?

Accepted Answer

It is best to arrive ten minutes before the class starts. Since One Market Plaza is located in the financial district- parking can be hard to find. We will catch you up on the steps if you are late, but it won’t guarantee the best product.

Do I need prior experience?

Accepted Answer

This workshop is beginner friendly! Whether you are a beginner or seasoned potter, this is a great chance to learn new handbuilding skills by a local artist in an intimate class setting. All of our workshops are designed to form community in an encouraging and positive environment.
