About this event

  • 2 hours

Arlene Wren makes a variety of beeswax candles, lotions, soaps and lip balms to supplement her husband Mark’s honey business. Hand rolled beeswax candle making does not require high temperatures and is safe for all age groups.

For the first candle class, the students will use a natural color embossed beeswax sheet. The sheets will be precut allowing the students to make a total of eight, 4 inch candles. Using hair dryers, each student will warm up the beeswax sheet and press the candle wicking to the edge of the beeswax and firmly roll the sheet around the candle wick until the candle is formed. Students should plan to bring their own hair dryer.
