CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Learn the art of hand building in a fun and relaxing pottery making session. You'll be guided in creating a one-of-a-kind mug using several techniques for handles, shaping and surface design. Then choose a glaze color for your work and let us take care of the rest. After 3 weeks, you or a member of your group will pick up your finished creations from the MADE IN classroom. All the tools and materials will be provided, so you only need to bring your creativity! Great for all skill levels!
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Whitney Simpkins has been creating fun and functional pottery in Baltimore, Maryland as Personal Best Ceramics since 2019. She's an alum of Maryland Institute College of Art with a degree in painting, but prefers making ceramics these days. Whitney has always been drawn to the tactile nature of clay and its ability to transform into an endless number of exciting forms. When she's not using her hands in the studio, she's probably putting them to work baking or knitting at home.
