Hammered Metal Spiral - Teen One-Day Workshop

Sunday, August 4th from 10:00AM-5:00PM

In this teen workshop we will create circular shapes with a hammer to make pendants, earrings, or even links for a bracelet or necklace. This is an opportunity to use a hammer and anvil to manipulate metal to create organic, fluid designs. We will cover hammering techniques, cold-joining, hole-punching, annealing and soldering.

$99 workshop fee does not include materials.

Materials cost: $25 for 2', up to $45 for 4' of silver; $5 to $10 for copper—Cash only please, payable to the instructor the day of the workshop. More metal will be available to purchase if needed.

(For safety, be sure to wear closed toe shoes and have long hair pulled back with clips or in a ponytail.)

We will have an hour break for lunch midday. The studio will be closed during this break, but there are nearby parks where you can eat lunch if you brought your own, or you can check out one of the local restaurants in the area.

About the instructor: Pamela Bosco started Bosco Jewelry in 2000 while on Peaks Island. She also worked with well-known goldsmith Sam Shaw for four years.
