Do you watch cookie decorating videos and wish you could make cookies like that too? Wondering what tools you need to do it? Intimidated by royal icing and how to use it? Then this class is for you!Amalea was once you! She loved to bake and make tasty treats for her family. There was just one problem - her stuff was ugly. Like, really ugly. After a few years of amateur attempts she finally decided to take a bunch of classes and turn her baked goods from "ick" to "oooohh!" And now she'll help you do it too!In this 90 minute class we will decorate a half dozen cookies in 3 Halloween designs. Amalea will provide expert instruction and tips so you can decorate stunning cookies! <h3>Here's what's included in the class:</h3><ul><li>6 cookies in 3 designs,</li><li>3 bags of royal icing,</li><li>All the tools you need like a scribe, parchment paper, and paper towel,</li><li>A box to take your completed cookies home,</li><li>Group presentation of introduction to decorating plus tips for each cookie design,</li><li>A full color printed packet with step-by-step picture instructions, tips, and hints for success (yours to keep!), and</li><li>A delicious Lost Boy Cider/taxes/gratuity (non-alcoholic option available, I also love their apple juice).</li><li>As a bonus you also get royal icing and sugar cookie recipes!</li></ul>This is a beginner level, all ages class, so grab a friend (or two!), a family member, or that special someone in your life for a great evening out.Cancellation policy - everything is made (and bought and ordered and printed and packaged) just for you! As a result, cancellations must be received by Tuesday, October 18 for a full refund. After that date, a partial refund of $30 will be issued. Classes Q&amp;AWhat Will I Learn?All about royal icing consistencies including what terms like flood and stiff mean as well as the purposes of the different consistencies; About the tools of the trade, such as my preferred piping bags and what a scribe is used for; You'll try multiple decorating techniques! For example, in the fall themed class attendees learned about wet-on-wet decorating to create a gorgeous swirled leaf, use sprinkles to create texture on an acorn, and how to apply icing to create dimension on a pumpkin. What's Included?Everything you need! A half dozen cookies in three designs ready for you to decorate; Multiple bags of icing in different colors and the right consistencies; and All the extra tools and accessories (did someone say sprinkles?!) you'll need to make these adorable themed cookies.Any Extras?Of course! As a special bonus I'll provide you with a packet to take home that includes: A tried and true sugar cookie recipe; A royal icing recipe; Plus all the details to recreate the cookies on your own at home (no need to try and take notes during the class!).Are Kids Allowed?Yes! This is an all ages class that will be fun and accessible to anyone.What's Your COVID Policy?Please note that COVID safety is top of mind when planning these classes. Masks will be required for unvaccinated attendees and recommended for those that are vaccinated. Lost Boy Cider is closed on Tuesdays, so everyone there will be with our class. There are lots of tables plus fans for circulation and doors to open for fresh air, weather permitting.
