About this event

Life Foundations Training(LiFT) is a safe space and community for those facing barriers after incarceration. This community meets regularly to share meals and build relationships with supportive allies. The goal of LiFT is to find and create opportunities for people striving to turn their lives around.

The LiFT community meets bi-weekly to create a home cooked meal that is then enjoyed together. During this time together LiFT attendees are encouraged to be in community.

In that community they are encouraged to:

  • Share their stories
  • Listen to each other
  • Share goals and intentions
  • Celebrate our wins (big and small)
  • Offer support / resources
  • Hold each other accountable for positive change
  • Learn about Reentry services and additional programs

Why we LiFT:

Returning to life after incarceration is often a difficult transition with many barriers and burdens. The strength of community is a powerful resource to support those looking to overcome reentry challenges. LiFT is a place for those returning home from incarceration to feel they have a safe space to go and be in a community of support.

When we LiFT:

We meet bi-weekly on Thursdays. Every meeting we invite a representative from a reentry community partner to share their opportunities, resources and programs.
