What is H4D? Hacking for Defense is a university course sponsored by the Department of Defense that teaches students to work with the Defense and Intelligence Communities to rapidly address the nation’s emerging threats and security challenges.

Educators Course Overview. By the end of this course, educators will have a thorough understanding of the H4D method, Lean LaunchPad principles, future workforce skills, and research skills required to teach the class effectively. They will be equipped to teach the students to apply these skills in developing a comprehensive mission plan based on the mission model canvas for a hypothetical product or service in the defense domain.

When? The Educators Course will be held on Wednesday, June 12 through Friday, June 14. The first two days of the course will be full days, and the last day will be a half-day.

Where? The Educators Course will be hosted in-person, at the WeWork in Rosslyn.

What to expect from the Educators Course.

Day 1: Intro to H4D Pedagogy and Beneficiary Discovery
Day 2: Deep Dive into the H4D Methodology
Day 3: Research in Mission Driven Domains
