Frequently asked questions
hackhcmc is part of AngelHack’s The Global Hackathon Series and will be held on the 29 and 30 Jun 2024. Please note that is an overnight in-person hackathon happening at VNUHCM Student Cultural House.
We want anyone with ideas or the passion to innovate to participate. With that said, having basic programming knowledge and skills could increase the chances of your team winning as a functioning MVP is required for project submission. All participants must be 18 years old and above as well.
Registration opens on 12 March 2024 and closes on 28 Jun 2024, 11:59PM (GMT+7).
Participate solo or form teams (between 1-4 members) to submit for hackhcmc. If you’re looking for a team or additional team members, we’ve allocated time on Day 1 of the hackathon specifically for team formation.
Yes! Anyone who wish to participate in hackhcmc must register individually via Eventbrite.
A team can submit their project under 1 challenge statement only during each hackathon.
Participants will wholly own the intellectual property rights to the projects they develop during the hackathon. There are no obligations for participants to share, license, or commercialize their projects. Your creations are yours to explore and develop as you see fit.

As this is an in-person overnight hackathon, we strongly encourage participants to remain at the venue throughout the hackathon, especially at night for your own safety. Participants may bring along their sleeping bags if they wish to.
Apart from breakfast on Day 1 (29 June) and Dinner on Day 2 (30 June), all other food & beverages throughout the hackathon will be provided.
