During this comprehensive course, tools and methodologies that are used during penetration tests in enterprise network environments will be detailed.

The course will utilize a lab environment for a hands-on instruction of manual penetration testing methods, in addition to, training for use of exploitation frameworks, such as Metasploit. Focus will be geared towards methodology, processes, vectors, tools, and techniques used for exploitation. By the end of the course, the student will have an indepth understanding of the underlying principals of network exploitation and will have gained experience in the successful execution of attacks.

Instructor Biography:

Rod Soto is an information security researcher and board member of HackMiami. He is a regular speaker at hacking conferences all over the world, covering topics pertaining to underground, bleeding-edge penetration testing tools  and attack methodologies. Additionally, Mr. Soto has discussed controversial issues, legal hurdles, and history, regarding digital civil liberties. Rod Soto is the founder and lead developer of the Kommand&&Kontrol competitive hacking tournament series. In 2012, at BlackHat Las Vegas, he won the Capture the Flag hacking competition hosted at the conference. He currently works with the engineering research team of an information security corporation as a senior principal researcher, engaged in digital crime intelligence analysis, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and malware analysis/reversal.

The game is called "Kommand&&Kontroll CTF" by HackMiami, and it is a themed cyberwarfare apocalyptic simulation using real scenarios and technologies.
