Tolerating recruiters is hard.  HackerWhy is an invite-only event for recruiters in 1+ cities globally and has a community of over 5 members.  We've hand picked and recruited some of the top recruiters in your city so you don't have to. Meet face-to-face with qualified and screened recruiters and explain to them the blindingly-obvious things they could be doing to be more effective.

Our events are organized in rapid speed-dating format (5 minutes each) to keep things engaging and fun. It ensures you don't have to tolerate any one recruiter for too long.

Get the opportunity to explain that:

<LI>Job postings should contain relevant information, like the technologies in use and the name of the company. </LI>
<LI>Words like ninja and rockstar are about as attractive to software developers as words like 'audit' and 'colonoscopy' are to the rest of us.</LI>
<LI>Software developers that self-characterize as ninjas and/or rockstars are engaging in mocking self-parody or are literally dogs that have learned to use the internet.</LI>
<LI>Front-end and Back-end sound like words used in a presidential campaign. </LI>

Q: How do you ensure quality? Q: Pair programming.  Unit testing.  Duh. 
Q: Do you collect a commission? A: Nope.  Do you? 
Q: What hairstyles are required? A: We're allowing a certain number of beards, but we prefer man-buns.
