One-day collaborative hackathon about Housing in Luxembourg based on Open Data.

<p>This event in collaboration with the<a href="https://sip.gouvernement.lu/en.html" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> Information and Press Service (SIP)</a>, the <a href="https://logement.public.lu/fr/observatoire-habitat.html" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Housing Observatory</a> and <a href="https://govtechlab.public.lu/en.html" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">GovTech Lab</a> is a one-day collaborative hackathon.</p><p>The goal of the Hackathon Open Data x Housing is to foster multi-disciplinary collaboration in order to generate ideas for innovative tools using and enhancing open data from the Housing Observatory and related fields (e.g. transport, environment, energy, mapping).</p><p>The teams will be created during the event. Already existing teams are also accepted.</p><p>This event is open to any participant with an interest in <a href="https://data.public.lu/en/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Open Data</a> and housing data. Possible profiles: data scientist, software developer, UX designer, project manager, business analyst, researcher, data journalist, etc.</p><p>For the lunch, sandwiches and beverages will be provided for free.</p><p>The number of participants is limited, don't hesitate to register as soon as possible!</p><h2>Agenda</h2><ul><li>8:00–8:15: welcome</li><li>8:15–8:45: presentation of interesting datasets for the hackathon</li><li>8:45-9:00: creation of multi-disciplinary teams</li><li>9:00-11:30: hacking</li><li>11:30-12:00: presentation of the first ideas, possibility to regroup teams with similar ideas</li><li>12:00-13:00: lunch and networking</li><li>13:00-16:00: hacking</li><li>16:00-17:00: presentation of the concepts developed during the day</li><li>17:00: final word</li></ul><p></p><h2>Flyer</h2><p>The Flyer of the event is available <a href="https://data.public.lu/fr/datasets/r/3997acd4-b4f4-4864-b283-f6d546a0cc3f" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">in French</a> and <a href="https://data.public.lu/fr/datasets/r/aeff31de-b8f4-428d-b4fb-1f19fe4dd22f" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">in English</a>.</p>

Discuss the data sets directly with the main data producers in the domain.</p><h3>Develop your creativity</h3><p>Creativity is clearly an asset to all problem-solving. However, creativity is like a muscle and needs regular exercise. By brainstorming and collaborating with people from diverse backgrounds, you will stimulate and exercise your creativity and come back to the office with lots of new ideas. </p><h3>Learn new tricks</h3><p>Collaborate among a multidisciplinary team and discover new tools and techniques, which could be useful for your daily job. Practice your analysis and prototyping skills in a time-constrained environment. </p><h3>Networking opportunities</h3><p>You will have many opportunities to chat with other participants and data producers. Presenting your concepts to the other participants will give you a unique opportunity to get feedback from your peers.</p><h3>It is free!</h3><p>Participation in the event is free, with a free lunch, refreshments and coffee.</p><p></p><h2>FAQ</h2><h3>What is a collaborative hackathon?</h3><p>A collaborative hackathon focuses on multidisciplinary collaboration and not on the competition compared to other hackathons. There is no jury, no evaluation at the end, no price. There is nothing to win, and thus nothing to lose. We prefer to invest in the quality of the event, to put you in the best conditions to develop your creativity and network with people with similar interests in Luxembourg. </p><h3>Who can participate?</h3><p>This event is open to any participant with an interest in Open Data and housing data. Possible profiles: data scientist, software developer, UX designer, project manager, business analyst, researcher, data journalist, etc.</p><h3>Can I come with my team?</h3><p>Yes, you can. There is no obligation to mix your team with others. Around noon, if your project is very similar to another one, we will propose you merge teams, but there will be no obligation to do so.</p><p></p><p></p>
