Hackathon: Creating Open Source Game for Kids

The non-profit organization A-MAN STEM is seeking assistance from Android developers with experience in Android Native Studio , Animation and Java.

The following persons are also welcome:

• Artists- creates visual elements of the game. eg. scenery, objects

• Designers- defines the core elements of the game including how it is played

• Audio Engineers - able to create soundtracks including adding music and sound effects
  

• Creative Writers -  develop the concept or story behind the game and characters

• Animators, Graphic Designers, Illustrators and Educators 

Our goal is to create an open- source educational app that will revolutionize the education of literacy and mathematics to children in developing countries. To reward students for their successful lesson, we want to provide them with exciting games to play in between learning activities.

Participants will be supplied with the following:

• apk and source code of a game.

Participants are asked to provide the following:

• extension cords if possible

• their own laptop to work on
  

Participants will be asked to build on this source code based on the criteria provided and their respective skill set. All contributions made by individuals will be duly noted. Come out and make your mark!!
