About usKids coding and Robotics programs are taking the world by stormand there’s a good reason for it! Kids Coding, Robotics and other STEM Programs that impart Computational Thinking give your kids an advantage in a highly competitive and technologically focused world out there.  Computational Thinking is a skill that can be learned at a young age and regardless of where their career might take them this skill will help them do better in school, work and life in general.Our Coding and Robotics After School program is used at over 75 Schools and Libraries in Fairfield and Westcher Counties.We love the work that we do and this year for a second year in a row, we are offering our expanded and better than ever Technology Summer Camp. Happy Code Club

"Hack the Gap" is a hackathon focused on narrowing the learning gap between students of all ages in Computer Science and related fields. While CS education has slowly spread across many boundaries, from borders to age ranges to skill levels, it has not spread fast enough we say! As technological advancement accelerates, computer science becomes more important with each passing year. Yet many students from kindergarten all the way through high school don’t yet have the option to learn CS after-school or weekends. We believe that all #KidsCanCode regardless of their experience, age, confidence level, and many other oft-perceived boundaries.
 
FAQs
Who needs a ticket?
Each child will need a participant ticket to participate, including siblings or friends, so we can ensure there are enough laptops and snacks for everybody. Parents need not reserve a ticket, any number of parents and guardians can accompany their kids.
What will we do?
We have activities set up for 2 different age groups:
CODING NINJAS for ages 6 to 10 CODING SAMURAI for ages 11 to 16
Kids are free to join either group regardless of age, say if your brainy-9-year-old already codes on her own, SAMURAI might be right for her. Please note which group you'd like to join when signing up.
 
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Kids ages 6 to 16, and their parents if they want to join the fun!
What are my parking options for the event?
The Bell Street Parking Garage has free parking on Saturdays and is a 60s walk from our door!
Important to know Happy Code Club provides laptops, tablets, robotics, 3D printing, you name it! You are free to bring your own laptop, but keep in mind you may need certain software installed to participate in some activities.
What can I bring to the event?
Yourself! While you can bring your own laptop, we provide laptops ready to go with any necessary software.
