Do you remember the last time you left a shop feeling great about the experience? Maybe you were overwhelmed by the selection, and the salesperson who approached you already knew what you needed. Or you had a complaint, and the manager actually listened and solved the problem. Perhaps it was as simple as the friendly smiles you got.
The customer experience is inherently personal and driven by human interactions. Done well, great CX has a massive impact on the success of a company. Bringing this in-person experience online however is incredibly challenging.
We at SaleMove have years of experience using cutting edge tech to make amazing online CX. Come hack with us and explore new ways to meaningfully connect customers and businesses through the power of code.
Overview: Hack the CX is open to developers of all backgrounds - students & pros welcome! Teams (1-3 people) will compete by developing original and technically challenging hacks in the domain of customer experience and engagement. Teams will develop solutions from 6 pm on Friday until 6 pm Saturday. There will be food, drinks and of course prizes!

Will there be food?
Yes! The event will be fully catered. If you have dietary restrictions, please speak with event organizers via <A HREF="mailto:hack@salemove.com" TARGET="_blank" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">hackathon@salemove.com</A>
Can I stay on-site overnight?
Yes! Participants are welcome hack away, crash, or hang out the entire event duration at the SaleMove office.
Are teams allowed?
Participants are welcome to compete individually or small groups of two or three. You can group up beforehand, or at the event.
Who will be judging?
There will be a panel of experienced developers from the Estonia community.
What will hacks be judged on?
Technical difficulty, relevance to the “Customer Experience” theme, and execution.
What is CX?
CX is short for “Customer Experience”. Customer experience is the customer’s perception or experience while interacting with a company, brand, product or service. 
In the digital world, the CX is critical - it will determine how successful a business is. At SaleMove we help our clients to provide a superior CX to their customers, letting them grow their business and customer satisfaction. Do I have to have an idea ready to participate?
Not really. It is great if you already have something in mind that you would like to hack and get others excited about. However, you can come to the event without an idea and partner up with someone who does. We’ll also be posting general ideas before and at the event.
Do I have to use a certain technology/language/framework?
Nope! You are free to hack away. Web, native mobile, VR - you decide! That being said, we at SaleMove are happy to support use of our kick-ass Engagement API / platform.
What’s the SaleMove API?
Glad you asked! SaleMove has a REST and JS API to quickly bootstrap any website for customer communication. Designed for hacking. Can non-programmers take part?
Not this round. We love designers and product people, but this event is code-focused - judging criteria will include technical difficulty of hacks. We plan to have future events that include product-hacking which will be better suited for a wider skill set - stay tuned.
