Hack the Case 2026
Overview

A 2-day hybrid hackathon x case competition where teams design, build, and pitch real-world solutions judged on code and business impact.

Hack the Case is a two-day hybrid hackathon x case competition hosted by Lunaris Hacks at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) from March 7th - 8th. This event challenges participants to think beyond just code. This works through combining technical execution, strategic thinking, and real-world impact.

Teams will work collaboratively to develop a technical solution for a real-world case while also crafting a business or strategic pitch that explains why their solution matters. Participants will be evaluated on both code quality and business impact, simulating the kind of multidisciplinary problem-solving seen in industry and startups.

Whether you’re a developer, designer, strategist, or first-time hacker, Hack the Case offers a space to learn, build, and compete alongside peers, with mentorship and judging from industry professionals.

Date & Time:

March 7th: 9AM - 6PM

March 8th: 10AM - 5PM
