Aperçu

Introduce your school-aged children in Canmore to the world of data science by signing them up for our hackathon. They can win prizes!

This in-person hackathon is run by Innovate Canmore and Callysto. Innovate Canmore is a vibrant community of local tech researchers, developers and entrepreneurs offering tech education programs to local kids, youth and adults. Callysto is a federally-funded program that is fostering data science skills (coding, data analysis, and data visualization) in classrooms across Canada. Not familiar with data science? That's OK! Our data science experts will help.

This event is also sponsored by the Rotary Club of Canmore.

Choose your own adventure:

Students will use open data to solve data science challenges with varying levels of difficulty. The challenges include controlling a robot, assembling the best Pokemon team, and deciding which pets would make the best companions on Mars.
