President Philomena V. Mantella and Quinten Proctor, Student Body President, cordially invite you to Grand Valley State University's Presidents' Ball. Presidents' Ball is an evening full of food, dancing, and unforgettable memories.

Join us at the DeVos Place on Friday, February 2. The schedule is as follows:

  • Doors Open for Social Hour & Awards Program: 6 p.m.
  • Social Hour (Cashless Bar, Appetizers, Hors d'oeuvres) 6 -7 p.m.
  • Awards Program 7 - 8 p.m. (Doors close at 7:30 p.m.)
  • Dessert Reception 8 - 9 p.m.
  • Doors Open for Dance at 8:30 p.m.
  • Dance Begins 9 p.m.
  • Doors Close 10 p.m.
  • The event concludes at 12 a.m. (Midnight)

Important Information (Please Read!)

  • Guests who attend the awards program will be gifted a commemorative Presidents' Ball 2024 wine glass.
  • Tickets are only available to purchase online - no tickets will be sold at the door. Ticket sales close Friday, February 2 at 5 p.m.
  • Each GVSU Student, faculty, or staff may purchase two tickets
  • All attendees must bring a valid ID
  • Once ticket is purchased, no refunds will be issued except in the cancelation of Presidents' Ball
  • Alcohol sales will be available at a cash bar until 10 p.m. Please bring a valid State-Issued ID for purchase
  • Doors for social hour & awards program will open at 6 p.m. and will close at 7:30 p.m.
  • Doors for the dance will open at 8:30 p.m. and will close at 10 p.m.
  • The event will conclude at 12 a.m. (Midnight)
  • Small clutch purse no bigger than 6.5" x 4.5" and clear bags no larger than 12" x 12" will be allowed. All bags are subject to search by security staff and security has the right to inspect any item at any time
  • Exceptions will be made for medical bags and necessary medical equipment
  • The DeVos Place will have alcohol sales available until 10 p.m. The bar is a cashless bar and ONLY credit cards will be accepted. Please bring a valid state issued ID
  • Direct charter buses will be available from the Kirhof Center in Allendale directly to the DeVos Place in downtown Grand Rapids. Food and beverages are prohibited on the bus. The last charter bus departs from the Kirhof Center at 9:30 p.m. The last charter departs from the DeVos Place at 1 a.m.
  • Coat Check is available. GVSU is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Shoes and bags are not accepted. It is recommended to not leave valuables unattended
  • Use the Lyon Street entrance. Walk-through metal detectors, wanding, and bag checks will be conducted at every point-of-entry into the DeVos Place. We encourage all guests to have their ticket(s) and ID ready in advance of entering. This will help to avoid long lines and wait times
  • Parking is available at the DeVos Place. Please check here (https://www.parkme.com/lot/92943/devos-place-grand-rapids-mi) for parking rates
  • Photographs and video will be taken during the event. Your presence gives consent for any such photographs or video to be used for advertising with publicity purposes by Grand Valley State University
  • All guests will subject to a security check and screening at the venue. For their own safety, students who appear intoxicated will not be able to enter the event or ride the charter buses to downtown. Prohibited items include: outside food or beverage, weapons, alcohol, vapes, and other drugs, and most bags (please check the Presidents' Ball website for clarification)
