African Diasporic Famlee jayn we een Norfolk, VA fa de "Gullah/Geechee African Family Reunion: A Celebration of Cultural Continuation!" Pure Lagos will be the host site of this historic gathering to celebrate all the children of Mother Africa and our art and culture.


The reunion will begin at Noon with a libation ceremony, booksigning and histo-musical presentation by Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation.


Saturday from 1 to 3 pm, join Gullah/Geechee Master Sweetgrass Artists, Andrea Cayetano of Gullah Sweetgrass Baskets, artist Quadré Stuckey and Queen Quet & De Gullah Cunneckshun as they present on the history, music, language and culture of the Gullah/Geechee Nation and they show how this links back to the Motherland.


Food, health drinks, art and books will be on sale throughout the celebration.


Bring your drums and an open and joyfilled spirit as we unite in celebration!
